Terra Nova is a beautifully designed and richly planted half-acre garden in the Golden Vale of Co. Limerick. It has been featured many times in books, magazines, newspapers and radio and has won many awards including the prestigious title of "Best Garden in Ireland" Considered a gardener's paradise, Terra Nova is full of imaginative features, unusual plants and little surprises around every corner. The visitor's book is bursting with wonderful comments, a few of which have been shared with you here on the website.
We have been opening our garden for the past 15 years and at Terra Nova every visitor is a treasured guest. We are delighted to share our garden with others and welcome people to call during the summer months, either by appointment or better still to come along and join other like-minded people on one of our weekly garden tours or fortnightly open days.
The garden is ideally situated for visitors to the area as it lies neatly between the nearby historical town of Kilmallock, and is just a short 15 minute drive from one of Ireland's top archaeological and historical gems, the Neolithic settlement of Lough Gur. Terra Nova is situated between the towns of Bruff & Kilmallock and is well signposted. Parking is available on the roadside and can comfortably accommodate coaches.
Sorry the garden is unsuitable for children under 8 years old.
Personal guided tours are available to groups of 4 or more people during the summer months. The garden is also home to Terra Nova Plants, a small, but newly expanded nursery that specialises in rare and out of the ordinary plants.
Booking is essential.
Groups welcome any time by appointment.
