Airfield Gardens

Airfield in Dundrum is Dublin's only 38 acre working farm that is open to the public.

Airfield is now a charitable organisation, established by the Overend family in 1974, for educational and recreational purposes.

The farm, gardens, café and heritage experience in the Overend family home, offers visitors a wonderful opportunity to enjoy and learn about food, farming and the natural work in a unique and relaxed urban environment.

There is a refurbished walled garden and woodland tea garden. Keep an eye out for the ornamental farmstead plants of artichoke, oregano and lavender in the sunken garden at the entrance to the estate.

The Greenhouse Garden is the perfect resting point to stop to sit in the garden and look closer at the planting before exploring the New Food Gardens.

Named after Letitia and Naomi Overend, the restaurant takes its inspiration from Airfield Estate and is inextricably linked to the gardens and farm as the source of fruit and vegetables, eggs and Jersey milk.
Toilets are available in the café and in the gardens.
